Regarding John Philip Campbell of 27 Spring Street, Lye, Stourbridge.DY9 7EL , England. Telephone 01384 891244.
Mr Campbell owes Barry Reeves £3,546 as a result of the decision of Stourbridge County Court on 15th July 2008; Claim No 7WD04690. This is a result of him being judged to have unreasonably delayed in building Mr Reeves a miniature steam locomotive for which Mr Reeves had paid Mr Campbell £2,300 by 1st April 2004. The court also found as fact that Mr Campbell had agreed to have the locomotive ready and fully working by November 2007, even though Mr Campbell disputed that in court. The locomotive was not ready in November 2007.
Mr Campbell claimed at a later hearing of the same court that he had no money and so persuaded the judge. He had offered to pay Mr Reeves £5 per month, which Mr Reeves regards as an insult. Both parties are over 50 years old and both would be long dead before the debt was repaid.
Mr Campbell sold his jointly owned property 29 Spring Street, Lye, Stourbridge DY9 7EL on 4th June 2004 for £60,000. This was appx £30,000 less than the open market value when compared with the sales of No 47 and 50 Spring Street within 3 months of the sale of 29. Why did Mr Campbell sell his house for only 2/3rds of the open market value? Information obtained from the UK Land Registry and fully in the public domain.
No 29 is now believed to be a rented property.
Mr Campbell now lives at 27 Spring Street, which is registered with the UK Land Registry with Sara Nixon.
Mr Reeves considers that Mr Campbell is not to be trusted in any way.
